Simplifying information for an audience doesn’t need to be difficult, it needs to be relatable. During the January blizzard in the northeastern parts of the United States, BBC created a simple graphic to represent of the snow accumulation. The “US blizzard: Charting the snow depth – using six dogs” article is simple, artistic and interesting. Using the silhouettes of six breeds of dogs, the author showed how deep the snow was in Boston, over a couple of days of heavy snowfall.
